Have you 'Googled' it?
Honestly, what did we all do before Google? The search engine is most people's go-to choice for answering some of life’s most pondered questions – From 'What does this pimple on my chin say about my imbalances' to 'Why am I dreaming about flying cats'. The truth is, if most people have an unanswered question or a niggling query, our Million Dollar Lifeline Call is always straight to Google. So, as beauty lovers, we were only intrigued to know 'What are some of the most beauty questions that people Google' – we went digging, we found, and now, without further adieu, we answer:

How do you apply False Lashes properly?
Why do babies always have the most perfect, fluffy eyelashes? They are wasted on these infants. Please, all I want is full, luscious eyelashes without the price tag and upkeep of alternative options (I'm looking straight at you, eyelash extensions). The problem is though, applying false lashes is actually not as easy as it may seem. You run the risk of gluey your eyes shut, not being able to stick the strips to your skin correctly, and having a rogue eyelash panel make an appearance halfway through an important event.
Firstly, you need to think about what eye shape you have. Let's break this down further:
Deep-set eyes: These are when your eyes are set deeper into the face, creating a stronger and more prominent brow bone. If you have deep-set eyes, try lashes that are longer in length in the middle of the lashes.
Downturned eyes: This is when the outer corners of your eyes appear to be drawing more downwards. Shorter strip lashes are perfect for these eyes as they help to lift the eyes upwards.
Hooded eyes: If the crease on your eyes aren't visible, then try a thin strip with lashes that are shorter in length.
Prominent eyes: These are when your eyelids appear projected within the eye socket area. We recommend balancing out your top lashes with strip lashes on the bottom as well. This will help give the illusion of pushing back your eyes.
The Best Application Method:
Once you have found the perfect lashes for your face, you'll want to remove them from the box correctly. We recommend holding the lashes in the packet under your nose with the lashes facing outwards. This will help you identify the left and right lashes (as they are actually not always identified – sigh). Peel the lashes from the out edge and never from the inner, as this will cause the lashes to bend.
Next up, you will want to rest the lash strip along your lash line to see how much trimming will be necessary. The strip should always begin where your natural bulk of eyelashes begin. You will want to avoid starting too close to the inner corner as it can irritate your eyes. Mark when your strip lashes should end by going to the outer corner of your eye and counting 2-4 lashes inwards. When trimming your lashes, remember to always start from the outside edge and cut the 'vein' instead of going through the last.
Applying the glue correctly is the step I am scared of the most to be honest. Don't go too heavy on the adhesive to start with – it's always better to start with less and work your way up if needed. Dot a thin layer of glue along the 'vein' of the lash and wait a few seconds. Remember, you will want to apply the strip to where the most amount of lashes are on your eye. Start in the centre and press down before working your way to the outer and inner corners.
Squeeze the false lashes against your natural lashes with tweezers to ensure that the strip is well-positioned and not going anywhere. Next up, take your mascara wand and apply a coat – this will help your natural lashes and false lashes stick together and set well. If you want to create even more up-lift, finish the process by gently pushing your finger against the lashes in the inner lash line.
If you're wanting a natural looking strip lash that will create volume and fullness without being over-dramatic, we recommend the Ardell Natural Striplash Demi Wispies Black. They are designed to deliver instant volume and enhance any makeup look. If high-glam is what you're after, you really can't go past the Gorgeous Cosmetics Madam Lash False Lashes – Tokyo. These lashes will take your look from ordinary to extraordinary in a wink.
What hair colour looks best on me?
The hair colour that looks best on you is the one that makes you feel your best! If you're looking for a cheat sheet for shades to avoid based on your skin tone, we have you covered:
Fair skin tones: Avoid all over shades that are flat in colour as this can make your fair toned skin appear dull.
Olive skin tones: Avoid over-bleaching your hair as blonder colours can age you and no compliment the skin.
Darker skin tones: We recommend adding some strobing and framing around the face to avoid flat colour. Caramel and toffee tones can really compliment your shade.
Yellow undertones: Sticking to your natural hair colour can work a treat here. Alternatively, if you love to mix it up a bit, we recommend sticking to warmer and darker colours to be on the safer side.
Pink undertones: Avoid over-bleaching your hair as this will wash you out.
If you're anything like us, and like to mix up your colour every now and then, you will want the best products by your side to keep your locks in tip-top shape. We honestly could not recommend the Olaplex Take Home Treatment Kit enough. With this by your side, you will be able to repair damage, strengthen your hair and build resilience against future colour and heat application.
Depending on your the colour you have gone, we also recommend picking up an evo Colour Intensifying Treatment. From shades ranging from Platinum Blonde, Mahogany, Light Beige, Chestnut and more, the intensifying conditioners works to maintain and extend the colour life of hair, as well and condition and repair.
How do you take your makeup off without using makeup wipes?
Makeup removal doesn't actually need to involve wipes in today's day and age. From cleansing oils to micellar water, there are so many new alternatives to removing your days makeup without reaching for sometimes over-drying wipes.
Bioderma Sensibio H20: An absolute cult and celebrity favourite, Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micellar Water is a 2-in-1 cleansing water and makeup remover that works to both cleanse and soothe sensitive skin. The formula contains micelles that work to ensure impurities are removed without stripping away the skin’s natural oils. Non-rinse and hypoallergenic, this is the perfect makeup remover to ensure your face is fully clean before beginning your morning or nightly skincare regime.
Dermalogica PreCleanse: A plant-based cleansing oil that thoroughly melts away excessive serum, sunscreen, makeup and environmental pollutants that have built-up on the skin's surface throughout the day. When water is added to the PreCleanse the formula is transformed into a milk emulsion to easily rinse away.
How do you tame your eyebrows?
If you were fortunate enough to avoid the over-plucked eyebrow phase, then you may have enough hairs left on your face to create full and fluffy brows (you know, the ones that are trending all over Instagram). It can be difficult to tame these wild eyebrow beasts though, and knowing how to shape them in a natural way can be actually somewhat tricky. Thanks to the rise in eyebrow products though, you can take your eyebrow game to the next level.
Inika Organic Brow Perfector: The perfect wand that will transform your brows in a few effortless strokes. The Inika Brow Perfector is enriched with natural plant extracts and Bamboo fibre to not only provide long lasting colour, but nourishment to your eyebrows. Simply disperse the product by brushing onto the brows.
Long Lashes Bold Brows – Eyebrow Enhancer: If your wanting bold brows, look no further. Long Lashes Bold Brows contain vitamins, peptides and antioxidants that work to strengthen and condition your eyebrows, leaving you with fuller, thicker brows.
