What is Multi-Masking?
Selecting which skin type your skin falls into can become a little tricky, especially when your face won't play by the rules. If your skin is anything like mine, it might have a mind of its own. You may have an oily t-zone, a few scattered blackheads, sensitive cheeks with a dehydrated forehead for example. This makes ticking one 'skin type box' near impossible and choosing the right mask rather daunting. But what if you didn't have to pigeonhole your skin into one skin type, but instead could achieve incredible results by addressing each zone of your face correctly? This is where 'multi-masking' comes into play.
Your professional skin therapist has been doing this for years, customising your masks so your complexion receives all the love it deserves. Moreover, there isn't always one mask that fits all skin concerns. Now it's your turn to try it, and with working from home the new norm, what better time to step your skincare up a notch. Let's face it, nobody will see you tapping the keys of your laptop wearing multiple face masks... bunny slippers and all! May as well make the most of your time by multi-tasking with multi-masking.
How Do You Multi-Mask
Once you have worked out what each zone of your face needs, multi-masking delivers exactly what your skin needs. Simply section your face into zones – forehead, nose, chin, cheeks and eyes – then apply the right mask for that specific area. You may find 2-3 different masks will do the trick, hydrating, soothing, nourishing and purifying as needed. Simply apply to each specific zone the right mask to address that concern, so your face looks a little like an artwork or patchwork. A hydrating mask is often ideal for the delicate eye area, a soothing mask can calm inflamed cheeks, a detoxifying mask clear congestion whilst a multivitamin mask infuses nourishment to dry areas. In addition, multi-masking really helps you to put your best face forward.
