One of the perks of my job is 'having' to road test new treatments and jump on the treatment bed to be the guinea pig.... It's a tough gig but someone has to do it!
Now we do a lot of fabulous facials at Activeskin Salon and have treated thousands of happy faces over the last 19 years from our Sydney salon. Our core facial treatment still remains the go-to for so many of our clientele but there has been a movement towards them wanting to up the ante get even more from their regular professional skin treatment.
In collaboration with the Dermalogica training and education department we have introduced an amazing treatment into our salon services, the Pro Power Treatment, which utilises Dermalogica's latest Professional Expert Strength products as well as the amazing benefits of LED technology.
Dermalogica launched their Expert Strength Professional products in 2015 in a response to the growing demands from clients for more dramatic, radical results…and fast! These products aim to deliver powerful results without compromising the skin....this is not always a given with many 'advanced' salon treatments that can strip the skin and leave it raw and over-sensitised.
Our Pro Power Treatment is an action-packed treatment combining the Dermalogica BioSurface Peel, the Ion Actives Treatment and our LED Healite Therapy – yep, the total triple threat, all in 60 minutes! So if you're looking for the latest in treatment room technology and are seeking highly driven results then this treatment is for you.
This supercharged treatment is highly active and personalised to every individual skin. The treatment targets stubborn skin concerns including ageing, pigmentation, acne, congestion, sensitivity and dehydration.
Your skin will look and feel dramatically improved after one treatment. You can have a treatment as a stand-alone service or a series of 3 or more.
LET’S BREAK IT DOWN:
1) Dermalogica Bio Surface Peel
Your treatment begins with the Dermalogica Bio Surface Peel treatment.
After a super-charged cleanse and prep the peel step begins. This powerful 'non-chemical' skin resurfacing 'peel' involves your therapist methodically layering enzymes and then up to 5 layers of an acid complex for maximum results with minimal discomfort.
After the 'peel' is removed we then proceed to the IonActives component of the treatment.
2) Ion Active Concentrate
Your therapist will choose an Ion Active concentrate to target your concerns:

- Retinol to firm and reduce visible signs of skin ageing.
- Niacinamide to control and prevent adult acne and breakouts.
- Hyaluronic Acid to relieve dehydrated skin.
- Oligopeptide to brighten hyperpigmentation and treat sensitive and sun damaged skin
After these actives are applied to the skin, they become “supercharged” with thermal activity generated by your skin therapist, who uses either heating or cooling Gelloids to drive ingredients faster and farther into your skin.
3) Healite LED Light
The Healite LED Light is applied over the face to further enhance results, promote skin rejuvenation, enhance cellular recovery, encourage lasting hydration, boost immune function as so much more!
4) Massage
Whilst under the light your therapist enhances your relaxation with a stress relieving neck and shoulder massage.
6) To Finish
Cool towels are used to remove the gelloids and you are spritzed, hydrated and reasdy to float on out into the world with your newly plump, rejuvenated amazing skin!
You are on your way with minimal to no downtime…and we invite you back for another 2 treatments about 2-3 weeks apart.
What can I expect?
Expect to feel immediately revived and refreshed! Results will depend on your skin condition and how frequently you receive IonActive Power Treatments, but they can include brighter, revitalised skin; fewer visible fine lines and wrinkles; fewer visible breakouts; improved skin texture and more balanced skin tone.
